The Willys Wheeler is a special edition Jeep Wrangler JK that I can get behind! It’s not only a cosmetic package, but also comes with upgraded offroad gear (like a rear limited slip differential). It’s not an all out offroad machine like the Rubicon, but it strikes a good balance.

What Jeep says about the Willys Wheeler

Inspired by the original Willys CJ, considered the father of recreational vehicles, the 2017 Jeep® Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited Willys Wheeler combine key off-roading components with classic styling. The Willys Wheeler takes open-air driving even further with the available half doors. Legendary 4×4 capability comes standard with a Command-Trac® 4×4 System, a 3.73 Trac-Lok® rear differential, off-road rock rails, BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A® tires and more.

This special edition starts at $28,295, which isn’t much more than the base price.  It comes with a limited slip rear end, which is worlds better than the open differential that stock Wranglers come with, but no where near as good as a full selectable locker.  As mentioned before, this package is a good upgrade over stock, but doesn’t touch the Rubicon.  Having said that, the gear ratio of 3.73 will give you a good little boost when you’re trying to crawl over rocks, and the Command-Trac 4×4 system sure isn’t going to hurt.
