The 2016 Freedom edition will come with all typical American goodies (as it has in previous years) like Oscar Mike decals , a freedom star decal, and much more.

Wrangler Sport Freedom Edition – According to Jeep:

Strong. Courageous. Rooted in tradition. The Jeep® brand is proud to pay tribute to the patriotic commitment of our service members with the Wrangler Freedom Edition. Special badging and details mark each vehicle and a portion from the sale of every Freedom Edition will be donated to the USO to help support our nation’s heroes as they come home.

The freedom edition starts at $29,790, and you can pick them up now at a local dealer near you.  When I checked there were already 6 available in my local area (as of 12 / 2016).   This is the lowest version of the special editions, without the performance enhances that other models have, but it’s still an excellent entry level Jeep Wrangler.

Jeep paid extra attention to the interior on this special edition.  From their press release:

Freedom Edition seats are leather-trimmed with a resilient black Sedoso seat fabric. They feature an embroidered Oscar Mike® logo along with distinctive silver accent stitching. The leather-wrapped steering wheel, door pulls and center console lid get matching stitch treatments. Quicksilver painted accents can be found on the door grab handle, instrument panel and vent rings.

The list of features includes:

  • Premium Soft Top
  • Connectivity Group
  • Oscar Mike® Badge
  • Power & Convenience Group
  • Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel
  • Standard Eight-Speaker Sound System
  • Mid-Gloss Granite Crystal Grille and Front and Rear Bumper Appliqués
